We'll be working on quilts for Whatcom county resi dents having chemotherapy and for children evaluated at the Brigid Collins Family Support Center. Bring orphan blocks, tops, or fabric from your stash that you wish to donate and a dish to share! Space is limited - please RSVP by calling the shop at 714-0070.

Care & Feeding of Your New Sewing Machine

This is a hands-on class covering topics such as:  basic machine maintenance, tension adjustment, choosing the correct needle, thread, and foot for your quilting or sewing project,and setting up your work area for your project. The class is free to those who purchased a Janome sewing machine from Fourth Corner Quilts and have had their machine operator one-on-one instruction. An additional day time class is available Wednesday, February 22 from 11:00-12:30 pm.

Learn the fundamentals of quilt making in this fou r part class. We'll cover fabric selection, rotary cutting techniques, piecing, creating blocks, quilt top assembly, adding borders, making a quilt sandwich, machine quilting and binding. When you're finished you'll have the basics covered and a table runner to show for it!
